Exterior Trim and Moldings
The exterior look of your home says volumes about you - whether you care how you present yourself, how you maintain those things that you own and care for, whether or not you plan on being around for a long time. There are number of exterior architectural moulding choices available on the market for various sidings, ranging from cheap wood trim to ornate concrete mouldings.
While exterior wood window trim falls on the cheap end (it's inexpensive, but also doesn't age well), concrete mouldings are just about the highest grade material you can have for decorating your home. Precast concrete mouldings and even stone mouldings are well established as durable, aesthetically pleasing materials that don't raise questions about maintenance. Because they are cast in a mould, design ranges are not limited by whether or not it will rot, warp, split or crack like exterior wood trim.
Where precast window trim falls short however, is in the area of affordability and installation. Being immensely heavy (they can be over 70lbs per 4' section) and time-consuming to make, precast concrete trim comes in at the upper-end of the market in terms of cost. Installation is only possible on a renovation by structurally reinforcing the walls and windows, a feat in it's own.
Decoramould offers the look of precast concrete mouldings at a fraction of the cost and weight. Weighing in at anywhere from 5bs-10lbs per 8' length, installation can be done by any do-it-yourself'er and requires no structural reinforcing. Often, the mouldings can be installed directly over top of existing EIFS, stucco or brick sidings - saving you hours of time and money.
